School-Based Counseling

Catholic Charities Therapeutic Counseling in Schools provides mental health services to students in 11 schools within the Diocese of Covington. The school counseling program offers direct mental health treatment in a school setting while assisting and involving teachers and parents to enhance the student’s success with therapy. The program is open to any students in our participating schools and is a free service to the family.

Referrals are made through three different ways: by a teacher or school staff member; a child's parent; or an individual child. Most of our referrals are based on behavioral, educational, or developmental problems in class or at home. The school counselor will only provide on-going services if and when the parent/guardian completes a consent URL and permission form. Please Click Here to access the School Services Form packet (.pdf) in English.
