Foster Parents Needed for Temporary Care of Infants

Catholic Charities Diocese of Covington are in need of couples to be become foster parents for temporary care of infants. 

Specific Duties

  • Provide temporary 24 hour care for infants while birth parents decide on a permanent plan for the child.
  • Provide a home, love, and food, medical care and accept the infant as a member of the family.

Requirements

  • Must complete a detailed home study.
  • Provide references.
  • Complete a physical examination.
  • Must pass background checks - criminal record; child abuse/sex abuse registry; FBI check if you have lived outside the state of Kentucky during the last 10 years.
  • Live in a clean and safe environment in the Diocese of Covington.
  • Married for at least five years.
  • Be comfortable, competent and experienced with infant care.
  • Be flexible, and willing to work closely with professional staff following specific direction.

Times for Service

  • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a temporary period of time. 

Training

  • Orientation to the Agency and the position.
  • Foster Care training and preparation

A per diem of $22/day will be provided to defray costs.
