Substance Use Disorder Services (SUDS)

Catholic Charities offers evaluations and counseling for substance related and co-occurring disorders. This service is available to adolescents and adults, in our Latonia office. For your convenience, we offer a walk-in option on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday morning of each month. You can call ahead to pre-register, or just walk in.

We accept most insurance, and also offer financial assistance through a sliding fee scale. If you need a written evaluation, there is a flat fee of $95. We work collaboratively with community partners such as the Kentucky Board of Nursing, Department of Community Based Services, Probation and Parole, and local employers. We can also provide an assessment as part of Casey’s Law. (http://caseyslaw.org/)

Outpatient substance abuse counseling is a low level treatment option, best for those who are looking for some extra support in their sobriety and those who have recently completed a higher level of care and would benefit from continued support including Relapse Prevention Planning. We provide education about addiction, and its impact on the individual and family. We take an individualized approach to discuss your options and help you make a plan that best fits your needs.

Current staff are Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors and the program is licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky for health and family services as a non-medical alcohol treatment and education center.

No matter where you are in your journey to recovery, Catholic Charities can help you.
