Volunteer Receptionist Needed

Posted on Tuesday, January 5, 2016
The Volunteer Receptionist is the first smiling face of Catholic Charities seen by all who enter its doors. The receptionist’s responsibilities are crucial to the smooth operational flow of the agency’s daily business. The primary duties include answering and transferring all incoming calls to the appropriate staff/department, as well as greeting and checking in/out all clients, visitors and groups. Other occasional duties include assisting staff with administrative tasks that can be completed at the receptionist station. The receptionist is a confident, multi-tasker with welcoming communication skills.

The Receptionist’s Monday – Friday schedule includes daily shifts and is shared by 20 volunteers; morning 9 AM – 1 PM, afternoon 1 – 5 PM and evening 5 – 8 PM (no Friday evening shift). Substitute volunteers also make up the Receptionist Team.

Currently, there is a need for substitute receptionists whose schedules would allow for filling-in on short notice, especially during the winter months. Training is provided. VIRTUS compliant volunteers are preferred. To apply, please click here.
