An unplanned pregnancy can bring feelings of confusion, fear and anxiety.

Catholic Charities has been a provider of pregnancy counseling and adoption services in Northern Kentucky since 1948. Our caring staff will help you and the other significant people in your life, before and after the birth of your baby. We are committed to providing information and support to make the best plan for yourself and your baby.

We are nationally recognized for the success of our program, accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children and licensed by the State of Kentucky.

What is the best plan for my baby and for me?

Good decisions don't just happen, they require careful planning. By taking the time to gather facts and explore feelings, you can be confident in your decision to choose either parenting or adoption.

What if I choose to parent my child?

At Catholic Charities we provide on-going counseling, support and parenting education to help you prepare for and parent your child. We can also assist you in finding resources available to you and your baby in the form of referrals for medical, housing, educational, employment and financial assistance.

What if I choose to make an adoption plan?

We have a strong commitment to provide a stable loving home for your child. Our potential adoptive parents have been carefully screened, educated, and prepared for adoption. We offer both closed and open adoptions. If you desire openness, you may select your baby's adoptive parents, meet with them and make plans for continuing contact. With these options you design a plan that works for you and your child. Catholic Charities covers all legal expenses. Assistance with medical and living expenses may be available on a case by case basis. Catholic Charities counselors provide ongoing support and counseling for adoptive and birth families.

What kind of help can I expect?

When you call our agency you can schedule an appointment with an experienced professional counselor who will be an objective listener - someone with whom you can discuss your situation in confidence. She has a Masters Degree in counseling and is interested in your overall emotional well being as you go through this process.
