Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Services provides a structured program that allows individuals the opportunity to share their time and talents through both direct and indirect service to others. The goal is to meet the needs of the people served in the community as well as those of the volunteers by delivering quality service that reflects Catholic Charities’ dedication to its mission.

Catholic Charities helps more than 11,000 people each year and we could not accomplish this without the dedication of our volunteers. We offer a wide range of opportunities for ongoing service as well as one-time commitments.

Browse our list of Volunteer Opportunities for positions that possibly might be of interest to you. Complete our brief online Volunteer Application. Our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to talk about your interests and skills and the opportunities that might best fit your talents and schedule. If you prefer, contact our coordinator at (859) 581-8974 to discuss what opportunity is best for you.

Catholic Charities has certain requirements of all its volunteers. These include:

1. Compliance with agency and HIPPA policies of confidentiality. Client information must be held in strictest confidence at all times.

2. Police record and child abuse record screenings.

3. Completion of the program on sexual abuse of minors called “Protecting God’s Children” as well as on-going training through “Virtus Online”.

Most volunteers receive more than they give including the many benefits of making a difference in the community, meeting new friends, learning new skills. But the greatest reward is the opportunity for personal development and self-fulfillment. We invite you to become a Catholic Charities volunteer.
