Babysitters for Wednesday PAL Support Group

Catholic Charities would like to offer childcare during the PAL Support Group (Parents of Addicted Loved-Ones) which meets on Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 PM. 3-5 children are anticipated. One childcare provider may be adequate; however, two will be an option depending on the number of children and the experience of the provider. Setting up a rotation of volunteers is an option for those who may not be available or want to volunteer weekly.

Volunteer Tasks: Watch 3-5 children in Catholic Charities’ playroom near the support group meeting space. Ensure safety; ensure playroom is cleaned up prior to leaving.

Volunteer Qualities/Skills: Babysitting experience with more than one child; enjoys entertaining children. Diaper changing will be the responsibility of the parent. Responsible, reliable, good communication skills.

Frequency of Support: Childcare is needed weekly; however, a rotation schedule is a possibility for volunteers who may not be available weekly.
Duration: Ongoing

Requirement: Transportation. Adult volunteers must be VIRTUS trained and current with bulletins and background check; transportation.
