CHILD CARE VOLUNTEER

Specific Duties
Play with pre-school age children on a one-to-one basis during time their parents are in class. Activities include playing and reading to children, conducting simple art activities and providing the supplied snacks

Requirements
Dependable
Actively participate in sessions
Good communication skills
Be physically able to sit on floor and interact with children
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Times for Service
One and one-half hour per week


Preparation/Training
1. Background check (criminal record/child abuse)
2. “Protecting God’s Children” training program
3. Orientation to the Agency and the position
